Miele Sirius Canister Vacuum Review & Ratings

January 14th, 2009 · No Comments

Miele has been a trusted name for years, but expensive. But, much better than the Electrolux vacuum. I was disappointed at how short the electrical cord is. The vacuum itself is lightweight, has great power and is amazingly quiet for its performance. Note that “NOW INCLUDES: SBB300-3 Parquet Floor Tool” is misleading since that’s the *only* floor tool included. That tool works great on bare floors, but it doesn’t work at all for carpets.

I would not even worry about the price tag. Keep in mind that this isn’t a disposable vacuum you pick up at Walmart, this is not a hoover or a dirt devil, this is a Miele, one of the most trusted brands in the world.
You will not be let down with any model, I chose this for my hardwood and tile flooring. It has surpassed my expectations of what a $400 vacuum can do. It literally sucked the splinters off the exposed edges of my hardwood flooring, and when combined with the crevice tool sucked gravel from BENEATH my door frame. A place cleaned earlier with a DeWalt Shop Vac.
I advise anyone to buy this vacuum, but if you are unconvinced, check out the specifications, it has 141 CFM.

Miele S4210 Antares Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

October 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

Miele s5580 Best PriceThis Miele canister vacuum is an excellent, lightweight choice if you have lowpile carpeting and smooth flooring. The Miele S4210 Antares offers a convenient six-position dial suction control. Controls range from 200 watts to 1200 watts.

Until I actually had the chance to use one of their unique canister creations, I wasn’t familiar with them either. After using it, however, I believe the Europeans are ahead of the curve with this stylish workhorse called the S5580 Aquarius.

As an allergy sufferer, vacuuming is often even more of a chore due to my watery eyes and sneezing. The Capri blue Miele powerhouse not only gets my floors clean, it also keeps my allergies in check with its Sealed System™ and HEPA filter. A new silence setting combines low noise output with the appropriate power level, while the ergonomic handle swivels nicely to greatly improve maneuverability.

This Miele canister vacuum is an excellent, lightweight choice if you have lowpile carpeting and smooth flooring.

The Miele S4210 Antares offers a convenient six-position dial suction control. Controls range from 200 watts to 1200 watts.

The 3.5-quart capacity Intensive Clean Plus dustbag provides 15% improved filtration and 20% longer suction performance. Impact foil prevents sharp-edged objects, such as pine needles, glass and sand, from penetrating the bag. Automatic dustbag closure ensures hygienic removal and disposal.

My floors have never been so clean in the 16 years I have lived in my current home. I have mexican tile, pergo floors and carpet and the two attachments that come with the machine are incredible.

I have had machines break bits off themselves in the past because of my mexican tile (very uneven surface) and with the parquet floor head it is just a breeze to clean and it also does my concrete patio floor. Amazing and then the head can be washed and away you go again.

Your oriental rugs with fringe are no obsticle for this vaccum because you have so many controlled settings to clean with.

Miele s5280 Callisto Canister Vacuum Cleaner Rating

July 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

Miele s5580 Best PriceThose of you who are familiar with the Miele line of products know that they have a reputation for crafting solid and powerful vacuum cleaners. Not many companies are still producing canister vacuums, but Miele (based in Germany) brings a European flare to this once common design. With its Sealed System construction and Miele Active HEPA filter, the S5280 Callisto is a dream come true for those whose allergies are aggravated by the dust most vacuums spit out.

I know what you’re thinking. I thought it, too. A canister vacuum? Step out of the seventies, pal, and embrace the upright. Well, I hate to break it to you, but the Miele S5280 Callisto made me a believer in the power of the canister vacuum. Easy to maneuver, the Callisto has tremendous suction power for such a lightweight and diminutive machine. You’ll find yourself zipping under and around furniture that would confound any of the uprights. Its 1200 watt Vortex Motor System™ and six selectable levels of power mean that you’ll have exactly the amount of suction you need just when you need it. [Read more →]
