March 3rd, 2009 · 1 Comment

Founded in 1899 by Carl Miele under the name Meteor, Miele’s company originally manufactured butter churners, washing machines, and cream separators. In 1929, Miele produced their first vacuum cleaner, the Melior canister vacuum, and from then on, Miele was known for its high quality products, some of which are still in use up to 30 years later. While the company is known for its vacuum cleaners, they also produce many premium household appliances, such as dishwashers, laundry appliances, refrigerators, freezers, and many other kitchen appliances.

Miele’s dedication to quality is seen in its use of superior materials and advanced manufacturing technologies, and the longevity of their products is legendary. All Miele product must survive a ten-thousand hour endurance test, the equivalent of a life-span of 20 years, to earn the Miele stamp of approval. In the 1950’s ‘Mum does it with a Miele’ was the slogan that popularized the Miele product line, and in 1984, the Miele line came to the Americas, and the popularity rose, as Miele became the dominant, quality leader of household appliances.

As the millenium approached, newer, more advances models such as the (link) S4 and S5 models were released, boasting superior suction and a long list of attachments to help the consumer. With sophisticated vacuum models, simple controls, attractive prices, and intensive advertising, Miele propelled itself to become one of the most high demand manufacturer of household appliances today.
